Kara Elizabeth DioGuardi is a living legend in the world of pop music, having written several hundred songs, 268 of which have been already released on major labels and 168 are included in multi-platinum selling albums from some of the best artists in the music industry.

DioGuardi completed a degree in Political Science at the Duke University, but became a part of the music industry after securing a job at Billboard as an assistant to the publisher and editor, then shifting to advertising sales later on. While doing routine work at Billboard, DioGuardi started writing her own songs at age 21. By 1995, Kara DioGuardi secured a record deal from MCA. Kara’s first album was then sent to pop star Paula Abdul, but it was Kylie Minogue who used the song “Spinning Around” that became top-charting single worldwide. Since then, DioGuardi’s lyrical career became unstoppable.
