Kara DioGuardi, the well known American singer-songwriter, TV personality, record producer and one of the judges of the popular reality show American Idol has written a number of internationally successful songs.

Kara began her career as a song writer when she was signed by MCA in 1995. Kara's first song “Spinning Around” in 2001 impressed Australian star Kylie Minogue, who recorded and performed it. With this big break she continued writing and co-writing several songs in different styles.

Besides being a song writer, Kara DioGuardi has also started her own production company called Arthouse Entertainment in New York, USA. Arthouse Entertainment today has become the seventh-largest music publisher in the United States.

Kara has penned many hit songs like 'Right In Front Of You', 'Sorry For Love' and 'One Heart', 'Escape', 'Reveal' and several others.

She released her own album entitled "Poe" on mp3.com in the year 2001.

Kara DioGuardi has provided soundtracks for TV series "A Cinderella Story" (2004), "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004)", "Herbie Fully Loaded" (2005), "A Class Apart" (2007) and many others.

Kara co-wrote and performed back-up vocals on Enrique Iglesias's hit single, 'Escape' in 2001.

The cute and quiet music writer Kara was made a judge on reality show "The One: Making a Music Star" in 2006.
